That lets you own your AI Workspace. With Navigator your AI Strategy becomes future-proof.

Navigator, oversimplified β€” annotated product interface showing agents, tools, connected apps, and model choice.

A better alternative to Langdock

keinsaas Navigator and Langdock are both AI platforms with a great user experience, so what sets them apart? Choosing the right platform is critical. Learn why forward thinking companies are choosing Navigator.

  • Open source, not just self-hostable

Langdock Enterprise runs on your Kubernetes cluster β€” but it's still a closed binary you licence. Navigator's source is public. Read it, audit it, change it, fork it, keep running it after you stop paying us.

  • Built around your processes

Generic workspaces hand every department the same blank chat box. We map how your marketing, legal and sales teams actually work, then build the agents, tools and workflows around that β€” department by department.

  • Any model, including your own

Point Navigator at any endpoint you control, including small models fine-tuned on your own company data. That is where cost and data sovereignty are heading, and it is not a feature you want gated behind a vendor's model list.

  • Automations non-technical people can actually build

Describe a manual process in plain language and the workflow generator builds the automation. Multi-step workflows are cheaper and more reliable than pointing one agent at a complex task β€” and nobody needs to learn a builder UI.

Langdock figures from Langdock's own published price breakdown and usage-limit documentation, August 2026. Where we could not confirm that a capability is absent, the cell says what is documented rather than claiming a gap.

Total cost of ownership

What 50 seats cost per year

Langdock's seat price includes model access, so this is not a per-token comparison. It is a fixed bill that stands whether your team uses it or not, against a metered one you put a ceiling on.

Navigator's €8 per seat applies from 10 seats when we deploy inside your infrastructure; the cloud version is pay-per-use credits.

Usage caps

What happens when you hit the limit

Langdock routes you to a cheaper model when your quota runs out. Navigator routes to a cheaper model when the task is simple. Same mechanism, opposite trigger β€” and seat pricing only works if usage is capped, because a fixed price per person is only predictable when the ceiling is fixed too.

  • Langdock

Included model access is metered against a 5-hour session window and a Monday-to-Monday weekly window. Cross either one and your messages fall back to a cheaper model unless you buy Extra Usage.

    • The fallback in cloud workspaces without BYOK is GPT-5.6 Luna
    • A workspace spend limit can trigger that fallback before your included usage is even exhausted
    • The ceiling is set by the plan, not by you
    • Stronger models burn the quota faster β€” so the better the model, the sooner the downgrade
  • keinsaas Navigator

There is no included-model quota to run out of, so nothing downgrades underneath you. You set a monthly budget per agent or per workspace, and you decide what happens at the edge.

    • Hard caps pause agents and ping the owner; soft caps only notify
    • Every task routes to the right model for its risk and complexity β€” a cheap model runs because the work is routine, never as a penalty
    • Fall back to your own hardware via LM Studio or Xinity, or to zero-retention hyperscale models via TensorX and Featherless AI
    • The ceiling is yours to move, in either direction

Langdock's usage windows, the Extra Usage option and the GPT-5.6 Luna fallback are documented on Langdock's own usage-limit pages, August 2026. Navigator's spend caps and model routing are the same ones described on our Navigator product page.

Companies building on Navigator

Teams that wanted AI shaped around their own processes, not a workspace they had to bend to.

DGEGO
Keinsaas developed and implemented a custom AI strategy for us. Many of our processes couldn't be covered by ChatGPT. Thanks to two purpose-built integrations, our teams in Hamburg and Berlin can now prepare cost estimates and bills of quantities more efficiently.

Frequently asked questions

Yes β€” Navigator covers the same ground: chat across every major model, agents, projects, skills, knowledge bases with RAG, MCP support, an API, workspace search and EU hosting. The difference is ownership. Navigator is open source, so you can self-host it at any company size, read and modify the code, and keep running it if you ever stop paying us. Langdock is a closed-source product you licence per seat.
